Getting there
About Morayfield

Morayfield is a friendly, growing community in the City of Moreton Bay, about 45 kilometres north of the Brisbane CBD. It’s home to around 25,000 people and is popular with families who want space, value and easy access to the city.

The suburb is a local shopping hub. Morayfield Road is lined with shops, cafes and services, and Morayfield Shopping Centre has everything from weekly groceries to fashion and dining. You rarely need to leave the area to get what you need.

Getting around is easy. Morayfield train station sits on the Caboolture line, with regular services to Brisbane, Ipswich and the Sunshine Coast. The Bruce Highway runs right past the suburb for quick trips north or south.

Morayfield also has a rich history. The name comes from George Raff, who started a sugar plantation here in 1868 and named it after his home of Morayshire in Scotland. You can still visit heritage sites such as the Morayfield Plantation remnants and the Oaklands Sugar Mill.

Sports lovers are well looked after, with local venues for soccer, rugby, touch football, hockey and golf. For nature, D’Aguilar National Park and Moreton Bay are both a short drive away.

With good schools, affordable homes and a relaxed lifestyle, Morayfield is a great place to live, work and raise a family. Come and see what this welcoming community has to offer!
